The "Flash Step" Dash is an advanced mechanic.

Movement has been improved in Basketball Stars 2. The "Dash" (double-tapping a direction) is now an offensive weapon as well as a means of transportation.

The Recovery: If you are blocked, you can regain possession of the ball before your opponent can collect it by making a quick run toward the loose ball.

Stamina Management: Over-dashing can cause your character to momentarily slow down in the sequel. Make sure you have enough "burst" for the last ten seconds of the game by using your dashes sparingly.
