I am curious what other workshop owners think about using spill trays because we are considering getting a few for our maintenance area. We deal with engine oil, coolant and other liquids quite regularly, and even though the team cleans things up quickly, small leaks can still make the floor messy and slippery. A tray that is too small would not be much help if a vehicle starts leaking, but a very large one could be difficult to move around once it has liquid inside. Our workshop is not huge, so storage space is another issue. If we buy several trays, I would prefer something that can be stacked when they are not being used. How easy are these things to clean after collecting oil? That is probably one of my biggest concerns because I do not want staff spending more time washing trays than dealing with the actual maintenance work.
