I have been comparing affordable book publishing companies and started wondering what authors should actually look beyond the advertised price. What services are truly essential for a quality publication? How can writers identify hidden costs, unclear rights, or limited distribution? Where do inexperienced authors tend to make costly mistakes? When is a cheaper package genuinely useful, and when might it create problems later? I would appreciate serious, honest suggestions from experienced authors.
