Why Is Airflow Control Important in Waste-to-Energy Operations? (5 อ่าน)

10 ต.ค. 2569 01:45

Airflow control plays an important role in maintaining stable and efficient combustion in Waste-to-Energy facilities. The right balance of oxygen and air distribution helps waste burn effectively, supports consistent heat generation, and reduces avoidable energy losses.

In a waste incinerator, primary air supports combustion through the waste bed, while secondary air promotes mixing and helps burn gases released during the process. If airflow is insufficient or unevenly distributed, combustion may become unstable, affecting furnace temperatures, burnout, and emissions performance. Excessive airflow can also increase heat losses by carrying more hot gas out of the system.

For energy from waste facilities, effective airflow management helps operators respond to changes in waste composition and heating value. By monitoring oxygen levels, furnace temperatures, carbon monoxide, and other operating data, plant teams can make informed adjustments that support combustion stability, energy recovery, and reliable plant performance.
