Does a Range Rover really lose value faster than other SUVs? (7 อ่าน)

My friends laughed at me last weekend when I said I might sell my Range Rover Sport next year, and now I keep thinking about why I even want to. I bought it brand new four years ago and I still love how it drives. But a guy at my office told me that these cars drop in price like a rock, and that I should have bought something else if I cared about money. That stung a little, honestly. So I started checking the used car sites, and the prices I saw were way lower than I expected. Some cars with the same age as mine were listed for almost half of what I paid. I could not tell if that was normal or if those cars had problems. One seller wrote that the car had a full service history, and another one wrote nothing at all, and the price difference between them was big. That made me wonder how much the paperwork really matters. A friend who sells cars told me that a clean record from a trusted Range Rover Repair garage can help you get a better price, because buyers feel safer when they see stamps and receipts. I never thought about it, and now I regret throwing away some of my old bills. Can I still get the history from the garages I used? Also, does the color matter, or the number of owners? Mine is dark grey and I have a few small scratches on the bumper. Should I fix them before selling, or will the buyer just lower the price anyway? Another thing is timing. Is it better to sell before the fifth year, or does it not change much? And is it smarter to trade it in at a dealer, or sell it myself even if it takes longer? I am not in a hurry, but I do not want to lose a lot either. If you sold a Range Rover or any big SUV, please tell me what happened and how long it took. Thanks for reading, and I hope someone can give me a simple answer.
